Well… it’s happened.
Arsenal F.C. have gone and won the Premier League, and now begins the longest, loudest, most unbearable summer known to mankind.
The group chats will be unbearable.
The TikToks will be unbearable.
That one bloke from school who suddenly became a football expert in April? Completely unbearable.
But before this turns into a bitter rant from wounded rivals, we’ll say it properly:
Congratulations to Arsenal — the staff, the players, the fans, and even the social butterflies who don’t actually like football but suddenly own three red shirts and know what “press resistance” means.
Fair play. They won it. And, annoyingly… they deserved it.
Now, was it exciting football?
Eh.
There was a lot of side-to-side passing. At times it felt less like watching football and more like watching someone carefully parallel park a Volvo for 90 minutes.
Did they absolutely master the “corner loophole”?
Yes.
Did every corner feel like watching a tax return being processed?
Also yes.
Was it one of the most efficient yet slightly sleep-inducing routes to a title we’ve ever seen?
Without question.
Did we secretly want them to bottle it right at the end?
Maybe just a tiny little bit.
But none of that matters.
Football isn’t about style points. Nobody lifts the trophy in May and gets told, “Yeah but your overlaps weren’t entertaining enough.” The goal is simple: win the league.
And Arsenal did it their way.
That deserves respect… painful, painful respect.
Oddly enough, there’s actually a business lesson in all this.
Not every successful business is glamorous.
Some businesses clean toilets.
Some collect bins.
Some deal with crime scene cleaning.
Some organise funerals.
Some unclog drains that humanity really should be ashamed of.
None of those jobs are exciting to watch. Nobody gathers the family around the TV shouting:
“Quick Gary, the bloke’s pressure washing a grease trap!”
But they all serve a purpose.
They all solve a problem.
And most importantly — they all achieve the goal.
Success doesn’t always look flashy. Sometimes it looks like consistency, efficiency, and doing the boring stuff better than everyone else.
Which, if we’re being honest, is basically Arsenal’s season summed up nicely.
So whether you support Manchester United F.C., Liverpool F.C., Arsenal F.C., or… alright maybe not Tottenham Hotspur F.C.… let’s say Sunderland A.F.C. instead…
At Marketing Balloon, we understand that every business has its own path to success.
Some want flair.
Some want efficiency.
Some want to dominate the league via set pieces and emotional damage to rival fans.
Whatever your route, we’ll back it, understand it, and help you win with it.
Anyway, glad this blog is over.
Giving praise to Arsenal has taken years off our lives.
